Winter BBQ!

Summer shouldn’t have all the BBQs and families shouldn’t cook on long weekends so Holy Trinity is hosting a Winter BBQ! Just what you need to warm you up mid winter.

Smoked Brisket and Chicken with all the fixin’s (slaw, potato salad and baked beans!). Seating is limited so contact Holy Trinity (780-431-1817) to get your tickets early!

Books for Babies

Four Consecutive Wednesday Mornings (9:30am ~ 10:30am) The Centre for Family Literacy will be running it’s “Books for Babies” program at Holy Trinity.

St. Valentine’s day is a time to celebrate all our loving relationships, including brothers, sisters, parents and pets. And of course is a time to praise God who is love.

We’ll be celebrating with a colourful painted marble craft, heart shaped pizzas and a cupcake fondue!!

WTF!? Is an introduction to Christian Faith that tries to make honest sense of what Christians belive. It’s a good introduction for those wondering about faith and a great refresher for longtime believers.

Everyone’s welcome to join us at the Riverbend Library Saturdays from 10:30am to 11:30am. Those who are able are welcome to continue the conversation when we go out for lunch after.

All Pets and their owners are invited to Celebrate St. Francis Day with a blessing and thanksgiving of animals. October 2nd at 2pm Weather permitting it will be outdoors, where there’s lots of room to run & play.

Backpacks & Blessings

All Students are invited to come along with their Backpacks for a special blessing on Sunday Sept. 11th!

We will also be accepting donations of Backpacks, Lunchbags and Teen appropriate School Supplies on that Sunday and at the Church any day before, to donate to the Youth Emergency Shelter Society (YESS)

DIOCESAN APPOINTMENTS  The Rev. Jonathan Connell appointed Assistant Curate of St. Matthias Anglican Church, Edmonton, and a member of the Barnabas Initiative Team, effective July 1, 2011. The Rev. Nick Trussell appointed Priest in Charge of the parish of Holy Trinity Riverbend, Edmonton, and Priest- in-Mission of the Diocese of Edmonton, effective July 1, 2011.

Quiet Gardening continues…

Four of our neighbours came together on Saturday 14th of May for a Spring planting bee. The south edge of the garden is now planted with hayberry, saskatoons, and honeyberries.
